HGM Community Development Corporation (HGM CDC) is a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization, subsidized through Higher Ground Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit organization. Governed by a board of 5-9 community leaders, HGM CDC is located in the rural area of Mansfield, Louisiana. It was established in 2005 to benefit the community through education programs (teaching, tutorials, alternative schools); welfare to work programs (training, child care, transportation); home building and renovations (HUD housing contracts, reposed homes for low-moderate income individuals); youth and adolescent training programs (mentoring programs, performing arts, abstinence, anti-drug); adult services (parenting programs, domestic violence programs,  family planning, and counseling programs); and health maintenance and illness prevention programs (workshops/clinics-diabetes and blood pressure management, cancer screenings, aerobics and fitness training programs).  HGM CDC collaborates with local agencies to improve the overall future of the families in our community and positively impact our community as a whole.
